VietSpeak ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website viet-speak.com and the VietSpeak mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture as provided by Google. We use Supabase for authentication and data storage.

Translation Data

We process the text you submit for translation. Translations are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. We may store your translation history and saved phrases in our database to provide you with history and favorites features. You can delete your saved data at any time from your profile.

Usage Data

We track daily translation counts to enforce free-tier usage limits. This data is tied to your account and resets daily.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to VietSpeak Premium, payment processing is handled by Stripe (web) or Google Play / Apple App Store (mobile). We do not store your credit card number or payment details. We only store your subscription status and Stripe customer ID.

4. Third-Party Services

• OpenAI — Translation processing (GPT), speech-to-text (Whisper), and text-to-speech
• Stripe — Payment processing for web subscriptions
• Google Play / Apple App Store — Payment processing for mobile subscriptions
• Vercel — Web application hosting
• Gravatar — Profile avatar images based on your email hash

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.

5. Data Retention

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored securely using HTTP-only cookies. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your data
• Export your translation history and saved phrases
• Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Children's Privacy
